SAMSUNG Electronics Releases High-Speed Single-Pass Color Laser Printer

Samsung Electronics, the world’s 2nd largest printer vendor, releases its first single-pass color laser printer. Single-pass enhances the printing speed of color print outs equal to the speed of black and white documents. The new CLP-600 models provide 20 pages per minute color printing speed.
Samsung’s high quality was recognized by global media and consumer groups, when the CLP-500 series were first launched in 2004. The company is set to strengthen its market positioning with the high-speed color laser CLP-600 series.

CLP-600 series targets medium and small size offices that frequently use color printing. Both black and white, and color documents are printed at the high speed of 20 ppm. In addition, network features are enhanced so that even shared printers can be used just like standalone printers. Smart panels provide printer status on each PC– pop-ups to alert when an error occurs, toner level, and paper jam. The panel window indicates the remaining toner level, and it can immediately issue an order through network connection. It is an ideal printer solution for offices that use networked printers.

For color laser printers, CLP-600 series are lightweight and compact, enabling easy movement and deployment of the product while saving space in crowded offices. User-oriented design enables users to easily replace supplies and handle paper jams. For example, when paper jam occurs, the user can simply remove the paper at the front of the printer, without the need to rotate the body. The number of supply items is minimized for easy replacement and cost-efficiency. Vice President Jang Jae Lee of Samsung Electronics says, “The global market for color laser printers is literally exploding, with an annual growth rate of more than 30%. Rapid expansions and falling prices have fueled demand for color laser printers, mainly by mid and small-size offices. The new CLP-600 series printers adopted advanced single-pass which realizes high-speed color printing. This product line will greatly enhance office efficiency.”
