XING, an online business platform that is revolutionizing the way business is being done, today launched an automated job marketplace. With this new service, XING is the first business network to streamline the recruitment process by providing personalized job suggestions to its 2 million plus members. XING Marketplace delivers significant time and cost savings to its members and emulates the real-world dynamic where over two thirds of all new job hires are influenced through personal contacts and referrals.

“XING has automated this process. Members can now see which job openings are currently on offer within their network and how they’re connected to the person hiring,” said Lars Hinrichs, Founder and CEO of OPEN Business Club AG.

“Marketplace” makes XING the first business networking platform to combine online job offers with the advantages of an international business network. Unlike traditional portals, XING members can access job listings that match their personal profile. Anonymity is guaranteed, as interest expressed in a job listing is never visible to a third party. “With just one click, members can also recommend an open position to any of their contacts on XING,” Lars Hinrichs added. Listings can also be found via Google and other search engines if desired, considerably increasing the level of exposure.

For a limited period, Premium Members will be able to post up to three offers on “Marketplace” free of charge at any one time. After this initial phase, XING will be implementing a payment model, which will form an additional source of income besides Premium Membership.

“Marketplace” is the first major XING feature to be programmed entirely using Ruby on Rails. This new framework will enable XING to develop and integrate its own projects even more effectively.
