ViewSonic expanding India Operations through presence in large format Retail chain

The initiative is part of ViewSonic business strategy of strengthening its retail presence in the country

By referring India as a potential market for technology products , No.1 USA display Expert ViewSonic has today announced the expansion of their India operations by strengthening its retail presence in the country . ViewSonic brands are now available in the country through the popular retail chains like Croma, Reliance Digital & soon at E Zone.

ViewSonic has entered into India market last year to distribute their visual display products through the channel Partners. After seeing the scope of growth, the company has taken this initiative as a part of their business strategy to expand their footprints in the country by gaining access to the end users and other targeted SMB and SOHO segment.

Elaborating on the company’s strategies, Mr. Gautam Ghosh, Country Manager ViewSonic India said, “In a short span of time ViewSonic has become a prominent key player in the Indian market and positioned itself amongst the Top 3 display brands in terms of market share .However now our focus is to move up the value chain and strengthen our retail presence. It’s encouraging to see the customer response to ViewSonic products in retail chains like Croma and Reliance Digital. We plan to tie up 100 shops N shops and Brand Stores nationally to distribute ViewSonic products by mid of 2008″

To increase its market penetration across the country, the company intends to have 10 franchised outlets in each A Class cities by this year. “ViewSonic will propose to have joint Road Shows and in-Store promotions to increase foot falls. The consumers in India will get to experience a new way of buying IT products from such outlets. In other words, we would like to participate actively in changing the buying experience of consumers in India” said Gautam Ghosh
