LYCOS AND DISNEY ABC FAMILY TELEVISION GROUP EXPAND CONTENT DEAL WITH MULTIPLE “KYLE XY” EPISODES

LYCOS HOSTS INTERACTIVE VIEWING PARTIES FOR “KYLE XY” SERIES; FANS WATCH THE SHOW AND CONNECT WITH OTHER FANS ONLINE THROUGH LYCOS WATCH & CHAT TECHNOLOGY

WALTHAM, Mass. and BURBANK, Calif. – June 18, 2007– Lycos, Inc. (http://www.lycos.com), a leading community destination for video entertainment content and Disney-ABC Television Group’s ABC Family are teaming up once again to create a unique online viewing experience for fans of “Kyle XY.” Beginning June 16, fans of the show can go to http://kylexy.lycos.com to view 13 weekly episodes of “Kyle XY” and chat with other fans in real-time while watching.

Fans of “Kyle XY” have the opportunity to host their own viewing parties through Lycos’s proprietary Watch & Chat video platform, setting up either public or private screening rooms online and scheduling a date and time to meet up with their friends and connect with fellow “Kyle XY” fans of the popular ABC Family series. Screening room hosts will have the ability to pause, rewind and fast-forward video, while all users can chat in real-time with others in the screening room while they watch. Individual screening rooms will be able to host up to 10 viewers at a time. The “Kyle XY” online viewing experience begins June 16 at 3:00am EST and will run through Sept. 14 at midnight EST.

“We are thrilled to be expanding our relationship with Disney ABC Family Television and powering the online viewing parties for ‘Kyle XY,’” said Don Kosak, chief technology officer for Lycos, Inc. “When Lycos powered ABC Family’s viewing party of the “Wildfire” series finale earlier this year, we saw first hand how online viewing parties leverage the social interaction of the internet to build further buzz and awareness around affinity audiences. With the Lycos Watch & Chat platform, ABC Family once again has the ability to directly connect with the “Kyle XY” fans immediately following the television airings to gauge feedback about the show, and fans can have total control of re-living the 13 series episodes and chat with other fans in real-time.”

“We first teamed up with Lycos in March when we offered our “Wildfire” online fan community this unique, interactive viewing experience,” said Vickie Collier, executive director, digital media, ABC Family. “The online viewing experiment proved to be extremely successful, as fans of the show totally
embraced the experience. We’re very happy to be working with Lycos again to power the online screening parties for “Kyle XY,” giving fans of this series a unique way to consume content and communicate and share with friends and other fans simultaneously.”

Since first teaming with Disney’s ABC Family Television Group in March, Lycos has added enhanced functionality to its proprietary Watch & Chat platform, giving screening room hosts the ability to remove or block users from screening rooms.

Lycos introduced its proprietary “Watch & Chat” technology in Nov. 2006, with the launch of Lycos Cinema (http://cinema.lycos.com/), the internet’s first video-based socialization product allowing multiple users to watch simultaneously and chat about video content in real-time. Since then, Lycos has introduced a second platform called Lycos MIX (http://mix.lycos.com/), taking Watch & Chat to another level, allowing groups of people to pull video clips from different sources across the web to create playlists of content, to watch and share and chat with others in the MIX.
