TelcoBridges Enables GlobalRoam’s cMask® – Asia’s First 2-Way Mobile Anonymous Communication Solution

GlobalRoam’s cMask® Solution Uses TelcoBridges’ Flexible Telecom Platform to Allow Mobile Users to Call and Send SMS Without Revealing their Real Mobile Phone Numbers.

TelcoBridges Inc. announced today that the GlobalRoam Group Limited of Singapore has created an innovative mobile value-added service (VAS), called cMask®, based on TelcoBridges’ flexible telecom platform. The solution allows mobile users to call and send SMS messages anonymously. Users are assigned a cMask® number, a local direct inward dialing telephone number, which is used to make and receive voice calls and to send and receive SMS messages. The user’s real mobile phone number is never revealed.

GlobalRoam’s cMask® uses TelcoBridges’ telecom platform SS7 ISUP and TCAP signaling capabilities to set up/teardown voice calls and send/receive SMS messages using anonymous cMask® telephone numbers. To establish an anonymous voice call, subscribers use the cMask® system to originate a call from their assigned cMask® number to the contact they wish to reach. The system then bridges the two calls together. To send an anonymous SMS message, users simply send the SMS to the cMask® system. The system then relays the SMS while using the user’s cMask® number as the originating phone number. Users’ real phone numbers are never revealed. cMask® also provides users with the ability to manage their contact lists via the web and by SMS. They can add or delete contacts, block them completely or according to a schedule.

cMask® is the ideal solution for online community portals for trading such as eBay®, for networking such as LinkedIn®, simply to make friends and socialize such as Friendster®, or any other themed community where people may wish to meet privately. cMask® can provide members with the freedom to give out a direct phone number while protecting their privacy and ensuring confidentiality. It enables a 2-way communication allowing both parties to communicate using cMask® telephone numbers thereby protecting the privacy of all users.
