Network World names Zenoss Clear Choice for Network Management

Zenoss Core has won the Network World Clear Choice Award for best open source network monitoring and management tool. To quote the Network World article:

“Zenoss Core’s faultless and quick discovery of all our devices, servers, clients, operating systems, applications and running processes was a delight to behold. On an ongoing basis and on a schedule we set, its discovery process automatically detected and logged changes to our network, including server configuration changes – a feature that even most commercial products lack.”

Besides Zenoss Core, Network World reviewer, Barry Nance, looked at other commercial open source vendors: Hyperic, and Groundwork Open Source who finished second and third respectively.
