PCI Geomatics selects SafeNet Sentinel RMS to check piracy

SafeNet Sentinel RMS enables PCI Geomatics to secure licensing and maintain control of intellectual property while reducing development costs

New Delhi, June 22, 2007: SafeNet, a global leader in information security, announced today that PCI Geomatics®, a world leading developer of image-centric software and solutions for the geospatial industry, has selected SafeNet Sentinel RMS to secure licensing for their software product, Geomatica.

The implementation of Sentinel RMS enables PCI Geomatics to control how customers access licenses, protecting the software from unauthorized use and distribution. PCI Geomatics previously used a combination of Sentinel Hardware Keys and their own, home-grown software license management. Eventually, the company’s growth outpaced the ability of the home-grown component which led to the evaluation of third-party solutions.
