DELHI TO HOST DIGITAL LEARNING 2005 CONFERENCE
NEW DELHI, October 12, 2005: A two day conference on ‘Digital Learning 2005’ will take place on October 18 and 19 in New Delhi. More than 400 education experts from various parts of the country will take part in the meet to discuss common challenges and extraordinary solutions, ideas and operating approaches towards e-Learning.
The conference is being organised by the Centre for Science, Development and Media Studies (CSDMS: www.csdms.in ), a non-government organization along with various stae governments including Delhi
‘ Conference with a theme ‘Digital learning and Education: Challenges and Practices’ – is geared to help delegates take stock, synthesize, design and drive the digital competence in the knowledge society in a more professional manner. “This topic is of particular importance as technologies can be a key catalytic tool to ensure universal education†says Jayalakshmi Chittoor of CSDMS.
This is a conference for any person with an interest in, and concern for, education at any of its levels and in any of its forms, from schools, to higher education and lifelong learning — and in any of its sites, from school to university to workplace.
Besides the conference is bringing policy implementers, persons associated with advocacy, decision makers (directors of Sarva Shikha Abhiyan and Secretaries of Education from different states), private sector players (includeing HP, Microsoft, IBM, Hiwel, Intel, etc.), managers, administrators, e-Learning content developers, ICT experts and the learning community in one platform. The conference combines views and ideas of all of them through presentations and participation with panels featuring real-life case studies from leading e-Learning operators.
