KODAK DIGIMASTER EX Series and NEXPRESS M700 Color Press Earn Editor’s Choice Award from Better Buys for Business

Better Buys for Business callsthe KODAK DIGIMASTER EX Digital Production System Series “an impressive on-demand printer series that has great appeal for high-volume print buyers” and the KODAK NEXPRESS M700 Digital Color Press “an excellent entry point for print providers who plan to grow their business” in its annual review of digital printers. Both solutions earned Editor’s Choice awards from the leading independent authority of office imaging equipment.

Better Buys for Business evaluates hundreds of models of copiers, printers, faxes and scanners from all major manufacturers when selecting award recipients, but only one or two from each category achieve Editor’s Choice status, a designation for those products that provide the best performance and represent the best value.

“This award echoes what we hear from our customers, that Kodak’s digital color and black and white systems are helping them grow their businesses through new applications,” said Mike Howard, Vice President Marketing, Digital Printing Solutions, Kodak’s Graphic Communications Group. “We aim to offer our customers a variety of innovative digital print solutions with the speed, flexibility and quality necessary to drive demand for short run and variable data print.” Better Buys for Business editors cited the M700 as “an ideal entry level digital color press with high quality output and shorter runs.”

Launched at AIIM ON DEMAND in April, the KODAK NEXPRESS M700 Digital Color Press appeals to print providers who want to profitably enter the digital printing business with high quality short run color, web to print, and variable data print capabilities. The NEXPRESS M700 Digital Color Press offers customers the confidence to build color volume with versatile, high impact color jobs and migrate to other higher volume NEXPRESS presses with additional features and capabilities as they grow their businesses. The four color press runs at 70 pages per minute for the full range of commonly supported substrate types (coated, uncoated, recycled, and labels) and weights (64-300 gsm). The M700 operates using the scaleable KODAK NEXSTATION V front end, which is built upon open architecture that accepts file formats from commonly used application software, as well as a unique, operator replaceable components business model which enables printers to manage costs, control image quality and optimize profitability.
