HealthEdge® and Exstream Software Partner to Deliver Cutting-Edge Customer Communication Solutions for Health Plans

HealthEdge, a pioneering healthcare software company, today announced that it has partnered with Exstream Software, the leading provider of enterprise document automation software in the healthcare industry. The partnership will allow HealthEdge customers to benefit from a complete, streamlined solution for providing relevant, compliant correspondence and other targeted communications to members, healthcare providers, employers and brokers.

Exstream’s Dialogue™ software solution — a comprehensive platform for developing and deploying all types of fully personalized, sophisticated insurance documents for high-volume and on-demand delivery — will be embedded in HealthRules Payor™, HealthEdge’s next generation claims administration platform. HealthRules Payor will offer an automated and affordable path to state-of-the-art customer communications, on par with industries such as financial services, telecom and retail.

“HealthEdge is focused squarely on bringing health payor technology into the twenty-first century, and Exstream’s Dialogue enterprise document automation solution represents the highest standard available today,” said Rob Gillette, chief executive officer of HealthEdge. “By incorporating Dialogue into our HealthRules platform, we are giving our customers a turn-key solution for the kind of high-end, personalized client communications that, until now, have only been affordable for the largest payors. While relevant to organizations of all sizes, this aspect of our offering will be particularly appealing for small- to mid-sized plans looking to drive their brand and improve the customer experience without breaking the bank.”

Utilizing Dialogue, HealthRules Payor will enable payors to dynamically pull information from multiple data sources to improve the marketing value of every communication from EOBs and ID cards to custom letters and other routine correspondence. Companies will differentiate themselves through branded, consistent correspondence that is visually appealing, easily understood and tailored to the unique needs of a variety of audiences. The online view of correspondence from within HealthRules Payor will dramatically improve payors’ responsiveness to customer service issues. Data-sensitive presentation of personalized and targeted marketing messaging will allow companies to promote strategic products, programs and projects as part of routine correspondence activity.
