Integration Technologies Group Provides Low Vision Solutions for Residents Using Maryland Division of Rehabilitation Services

Integration Technologies Group, Inc. (ITG), the premier company servicing end users with adaptive technology needs, particularly in the federal government, will provide assistive technologies to Maryland residents through the State of Maryland’s Office for Blindness & Vision Services (OBVS), Division of Rehabilitation Services. From CCTV’s with flat panel monitors to portable video magnifiers, ITG is poised to provide an array of low vision devices to assist Maryland’s vision impaired residents.

Among the ITG offerings are: SmartView Xtend CCTV to enhance everyday viewing activities like reading documents and labels, viewing photos and writing checks. Slider, an all-in-one portable video magnifier enables the user to see images larger and clearer with adjustable zoom and contrast. And, PocketViewer, a compact, hand-held, 7X magnifier with a retractable writing stand.

“We are committed to providing employers with tools that help people with disabilities function more productively in the workplace – and to providing the training both employers and employees need to ensure that these tools are effectively used,” said Patricia Zawasky, development manager of ITG’s Accessibility Solutions Group. According to Zawasky, “At ITG, we offer a unique perspective on disabilities in the workforce: as 90 percent of our trainers are disabled.”

ITG fulfills the needs of thousands of people who are blind, low vision, hearing or mobility impaired in a number of government agencies. ITG currently services over 3,000 government end users.
