Gebauer Company Announces the Appointment of Mark Geiger as Vice President, Sales and Marketing

Gebauer Company, a 107-year-old medical device manufacturer and marketer of topical anesthetic vapocoolants, today announced the appointment of Mark Geiger as Vice President, Sales and Marketing. Mr. Geiger will report to Gebauer’s President and Chief Operating Officer, David O’Halloran.

The Gebauer Company manufactures topical skin refrigerants used for controlling pain associated with injections, venipuncture, minor surgical procedures, muscle spasms, sprains and strains. Core products include Gebauer’s Ethyl Chloride®, Gebauer’s Pain Ease®, Gebauer’s Spray and Stretch®, and Gebauer’s Instant Ice®.

“We are looking forward to Mark’s leadership and guidance in all sales and marketing activities,” stated David O’Halloran. “Mark is a seasoned executive who will be a key member of the executive management team and we are thrilled to have him on board.”

Prior to accepting the position with Gebauer Company, Mr. Geiger spent his 16-year medical device career in California. He started with PS Medical Corporation, a privately held medical device manufacturer. He then transitioned to Acumed, Inc., an independent surgical equipment distributor. Geiger spent the last ten years in marketing management, sales management, and senior leadership in the neurosurgery division of Medtronic, Inc., a billion dollar medical technology company that manufactures a wide range of products and services.

Mr. Geiger has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of California, Riverside. He will be relocating his wife and their two children to the Cleveland area in the next few months.

Gebauer Company has been located in the city of Cleveland, Ohio for 107 years, and moved to a new 58,000 square foot corporate headquarters and manufacturing facility in June of 2004.
