Foresight named SurfControl’s Partner of the Year in SEA

SYDNEY, Aust. (August 28 2007) – On the back of strong growth over six years, SurfControl, the leading provider of global on-demand, network and endpoint IT security solutions, has named Indian distributor Foresight Software Solutions as 2007 Partner of the Year South East Asia.

SurfControl’s Vice President of Sales for Asia Pacific, David Lenz, said the Asia Pacific region had experienced a significant increase in demand for Web and email security products during this period, and SurfControl credited its success in the region to dedicated partners like Foresight.

Foresight has partnered with SurfControl for six years, and in that time the reseller’s revenue has grown by 168% almost solely from SurfControl products.

Mr Lenz said that the award was an indication of the respect SurfControl had for their Indian partner.

“Foresight has embraced our brand and our business,” Mr Lenz said.

“Foresight has established solid, lasting relationships with SurfControl customers in India. The company continues to achieve a contract renewal rate of almost 100%, which is simply outstanding.”

Mr Lenz said Foresight had continually invested in its staff, so that they know the SurfControl products inside out. Additionally, the reseller also provides excellent post-sales service.

CEO of Foresight, Mukund Kakatkar, attributed the company’s success to his knowledgeable staff.

“Our technical staff are highly skilled. We constantly update our knowledge and take advantage of all the training opportunities SurfControl offers,” Mr Kakatkar said.

Foresight’s focus has been SurfControl’s Web and Email Filters. With the recent launch of SurfControl’s on-demand email security solution, MailControl, Foresight plans to market this new service aggressively over the coming year.

“We have over 150 users and see a strong growth opportunity in on-demand content filtering solutions in the foreseeable future,” Mr Kakatkar said.

Other SurfControl Partners of the Year in the Asia Pacific region are; Novetech and 2 East Trend (China) and Commander (Australia).

Mr Lenz said that demand to date for SurfControl’s MailControl in the region and the ability of SurfControl’s partners to meet these needs is a strong indication of growth potential in the region.
