Siemens Partners with INTECON to Provide Unified Communications Solutions to the Federal Government

Siemens’ Strategic Partnership with INTECON Will Enable Both Companies to Increase Their Share of the Federal Communications Market

Siemens Communications, Inc. [NYSE:SI] and INTECON, LLC announced today they have entered into a strategic partnership that will enable each party to better service customers in both the public and private sectors.

Colorado-based INTECON is a leading provider of advanced information technology and telecommunications products and services to the public and private sectors. This partnership is significant for Siemens because INTECON is Siemens’ only channel partner with Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) status. Companies designated as an SDVOSB benefit from the federal government’s mandate to its agencies that they develop strategies and set goals for awarding contracts to SDVOSBs. INTECON’s SDVOSB status will increase the ability of both companies to bid on and win contracts to provide communications and information technology infrastructure to the federal government.

“We look forward to working closely with one of the industry’s leading communications vendors in the federal space,” says Barbara Beckner, Vice President, Telecommunications for INTECON, LLC. “Our strategic partnership with Siemens will enable INTECON to continue to provide best-of-breed communications solutions to our customers who wish to improve business processes, collaboration and productivity through Siemens’ products and services.”

Siemens is committed to an Open Communications strategy that enables Siemens’ partners to offer their customers flexibility in implementing unified communications through the Siemens HiPath Portfolio of open products and services. Siemens’ partners, such as INTECON, can rely on Siemens’ expertise to help their customers transform their communications infrastructure, optimize performance and enhance collaboration in a way that will positively affect an organization’s communications and lead to strong ROI.

“Siemens is committed to building a strong channel and targeting vertical markets through strategic partnerships with market leaders such as INTECON,” says Rick Fitzgerald, Vice President, Large to Medium Enterprise Partners, Siemens Communications, Inc. “The combination of INTECON’s and Siemens’ past performance in working with federal agencies will provide the government with best value offerings through Siemens’ products and services that will help them optimize and transform their organizations through Open Communications.”
