OJSC `Uralsvyazinform’ Selects ECI Telecom Equipment for Broadband Access Deployment
ECI supplies proven and leading access solution to existing optical customer
ECI Telecom (NASDAQ: ECIL), a global provider of networking infrastructure equipment, announced today that OJSC “Uralsvyazinform”, the largest interregional operator of telecom services in the Urals Federal District and Perm Krai, Russia, has selected ECI’s Hi-FOCuS™ Multi-Service Access Node (MSAN) solution to support a major residential and government project in Chelyabinsk Region and Khanty-Mansi Region. ECI’s solution is providing Internet access for schools in two Ural’s regions, according to national priority project “Education”.
OJSC “Uralsvyazinform” chose to work with ECI due to the flexibility that ECI has demonstrated as a partner both in terms of responsiveness as well as the solution’s stability and efficiency. The Hi-FOCuS solution also provides OJSC “Uralsvyazinform” with a comprehensive and flexible operational management system.

Moreover, this solution was used to connect Ural schools to the Internet, within the national project “Education” framework.”
