CA’s it architect certification program achieves accreditation from the open group

CA (NYSE: CA) today announced that its Architect Academy Program has been accredited by The Open Group. This distinguished accreditation provides independent validation of CA’s Architect Academy Program and assures both customers and partners that Enterprise IT Management projects will be designed by qualified practitioners.

The accreditation recognizes CA’s process for evaluating and certifying CA’s Architects as meeting the skills and experience requirements of the ITAC program. CA’s architect certification program incorporates industry standards such as ITIL as well as CA’s extensive experience in implementing Enterprise IT Management solutions for customers worldwide.

The Open Group IT Architect Certification program certifies IT Architects who meet an open standard for skills and experience. “In achieving this accreditation, CA has demonstrated both the quality of its methodology and the strength of its commitment to open standards,” said James de Raeve, vice president, Certification at The Open Group. “We look forward to CA’s ongoing participation in our efforts to establish a technology-independent industry standard for IT Architects.”

CA’s Architect Academy Program is built on the company’s Solution Architecture Methodology, which was recently certified by The Open Group. With today’s additional accreditation, CA is now able to certify individual architects with the ITAC designation. This notable certification is only granted after rigorous training on methodology and fundamental technology disciplines such as IT management, security, and governance.

CA’s Architect Academy Program includes extensive classroom and computer-based training focused on industry standards, best practices and CA’s industry-leading technology. In addition to training and certification in the Solution Architecture Methodology, CA architects access a vast library of best practices and proven solution documents. This helps them fully leverage CA’s institutional expertise.
