InfoVista Supports Cisco’s Next Generation Operating System with VistaInsight® for Networks

Customers Gain Enhanced Visibility into Performance of NGN Production Networks

InfoVista (Euronext IFV – FR0004031649), the leading service-centric performance management software vendor, today announced at Cisco Networkers 2007 that it has expanded it’s leading support for the Cisco IOS family to include the Cisco Next Generation self-healing, self-defending operating system—IOS XR.

VistaInsight® for Networks was recently validated against the CRS-1, Cisco’s industry-leading core router that has received widespread market acceptance. InfoVista support includes the monitoring of device health, interfaces, quality of service (QoS) and end-to-end performance management visibility. InfoVista is demonstrating its comprehensive suite of performance management solutions at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Center in booth #B23.

“This validation gives customers the confidence they need to deploy the Cisco CRS-1 in their NGN production networks,” said Vikas Trehan, director product management and alliances for InfoVista. “Customers can rollout new services such as Carrier Ethernet and IP-based services across the core network knowing that they can comprehensively monitor network performance and have the intelligence to keep their infrastructure operating at peak performance.”

VistaInsight® for Networks enables customers to maximize the performance of their Next Generation Networks. A combination of end-to-end service measurements, infrastructure monitoring and flexible reporting tools proactively ensure reliable delivery of services between users and applications. The award-winning solution was recently honored by Communications Solutions magazine with the 2006 Product of the Year award for excellence in technological advancement and application refinement.

“Solutions such as VistaInsight® for Networks enable our customers to accelerate the successful deployment and management of next generation networks on a wide scale,” said Scott Yow, Director, Core Routing Business Unit, Cisco. “In InfoVista, we’ve found a partner committed to helping our customers tap into the business opportunities next generation services provide. Together, our solutions help organizations differentiate quality of service from their competitors, meet ever increasing demands for service level assurance, and maximize the return on the investment made in next generation networks.”

Validation of VistaInsight® for Networks against the CRS-1 is focused on the following areas:
Automatic discovery of CRS-1 and associated interfaces, class of service, IP SLA probes.
Portal-based access to aggregated performance information and capacity planning reports.
Access to real time data.
Consistency with IOS for the performance metrics monitored.
