Delhi, September 24, 2007: Novatium Solutions Private Limited, one of India’s leading IT companies, today announced a strategic tie-up with Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (MTNL) for the launch of Novatium’s Nova netPC, a breakthrough in utility desktop delivery for as low as Rs. 399 a month. This is the first time a complete solution is offered to the customer. As part of the deal, MTNL will take computing to the masses with the help of Novatium’s globally patented breakthrough technology “DUDM”. The MTNL and Novatium tie-up will revolutionize the concept of ‘computing as a service’ rather than a product.

Nova netPC includes a keyboard, screen, USB ports—and uses a central network server to run software applications and store data. The Nova NetPC home user package is available for only Rs 1,999(plus taxes) without the monitor ( monitor available at an extra cost of Rs 3000/-) in addition to a monthly subscription starting at Rs 399, including a 30 hour Internet access. The Nova netPC can work with any network server running operating systems like Microsoft Windows, Linux or Sun Solaris. Besides providing a novel home computing experience, Novatium has done a basic redesigning of computing by redesigning the soft ware and Telco grade hardware. Thus, end user simplicity is ensure through all this. netPC comes with licensed software and Telco grade hardware. The netPC is a zero maintenance device, i.e. virtually no device breakdown, thus ensuring reduction in downtime at the critical usage time.
