spOtmob – moments of life
spOtmob, a new internet service has been launched. With the help of spOtmob short videos, made with mobile phones, can be publish immediately on the web presenting funny or sad, exciting or boring moments of our life.
The mobile phones with built-in cameras are used really often to take photos and occasionally to record short videos because this cameras are always at hand.
To spOtmob website (http://www.spotmob.com) everybody can post video spots, recording moments of his or her life. The slogan of Twitter asks what are you doing right now, this question can be answered by a short (160-character long) text message. At spOtmob a short video can be posted instead of the text message, so not only can be said what is happening with us but it can be showed as well.
Using spOtmob is free of charge but requires registration. After registering at spOtmob everybody gets an unique email address to post a spots to. With the help of this unique address the system is capable to identify to who’s life belongs the posted video.
With an email capable mobile phone the spot can be sent immediately after the recording but it can be also uploaded later using a computer.
Using spOtmob we can show what happens with us, what are we doing at the moment. Furthermore spOtmob can be used for video messaging for example when we are on holiday all we need is to record a few short video, send them by email and our friends from all over the world can watch where we are.
Another application opportunity is to use spOtmob as a news broadcasting medium faster than any other existing one. News agencies and of course individuals can use spOtmob to send short reports at the moment of the events to the whole world.

Technical requirements:
- any kind of device supporting 3GP format video recording and email sending
-The maximal size of a spot can be 30 seconds and 512 KB
- spOtmob works best in case of size QCIF (176*144), but the resolution of the spot can differ, if the total size does not exceed 512 KB
- the latest version of QuickTime media player is necessary to watch spOtmob
