Oprah Tops Forbes.com List of TV’s Top Earners

Television’s Top-Earning Personalities Subject of Forbes and E! Entertainment Special

Forbes.com today published the “Forbes TV 20,” available online at www.forbes.com/tvtop20. Forbes and E! Entertainment teamed up for a one-hour special about the list, which will premiere on Saturday, September 29, at 6:00 p.m. ET.

“Daytime personalities dominate our list of TV’s top earners, with the most competition among morning and afternoon talk show hosts” said Lea Goldman, Forbes Senior Editor. “Other big earners, like Simon Cowell and Katie Couric, come from reality shows and television news.”

Collectively, the “Forbes TV 20” earned $723 million from June 2006 to June 2007. According to Forbes.com, the top five TV earners are:

1. Oprah Winfrey $ 260 (million)
2. Jerry Seinfeld $ 60
3. Simon Cowell $ 45
4. David Letterman $ 40
5. Donald Trump $ 32
