Jasper Wireless Taps Former Verizon Wireless Executive to Grow International M2M Presence

EVP Cindy Patterson Prepares Company for Broad Global Push; Brings 20-Year Wireless Experience to Senior Management Team

Bolstering the expansion of its international presence, Jasper Wireless, a licensed global machine-to-machine (M2M) mobile operator, today announced former Verizon Wireless executive Cindy Patterson has joined the company as executive vice president – international. A 20-year wireless industry veteran, Patterson is charged with bringing Jasper Wireless service to new global markets.

Experience to Change the Game

At Jasper Wireless, Patterson will be responsible for building the sales and marketing organizations needed to expand the company’s international presence. The task is perfectly suited to Patterson, playing to the experience and expertise she’s gained in 20 years in the wireless industry.

Prior to Jasper Wireless, Patterson built and led the Enterprise Data direct and indirect sales channels at Verizon Wireless, where she was responsible for deploying business applications at Fortune 1000, Global 500, and Federal Government customers in the United States.

Earlier, Patterson was president of the Central Texas market for Verizon Wireless, where she launched the Verizon Wireless brand and the 3G data network and led all sales channels including retail, indirect and business-to-business.

Patterson’s mobile network operator experience started with GTE-TSI (now Syniverse), where she led market entry into EMEA and Latin America. She also served as the marketing director for GTE Wireless in San Diego. Her wireless career began at Motorola, where she built and deployed a wide range of hardware, software, and services to customers throughout North America, EMEA, Latin America, and APAC.

Patterson earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Michigan State University and an MBA from DePaul University – Kellstadt Graduate School of Business.

Patterson joins a highly talented management team at Jasper Wireless with deep expertise in the wireless and software industries. In addition to Verizon Wireless, the team has collected over 100 years of experience at luminary companies such as Cingular, AT&T Wireless, eBay, SBC, Ericsson, Sun Microsystems, Nortel, Philips, Siebel Systems, Open Harbor, and Alcatel.
