Best Buy News Media Policy Eases Store Access for Georgia Sales Tax Holiday

Best Buy Co., Inc. (NYSE:BBY):
What: Best Buy is pleased to participate in the upcoming sales tax
holiday, offering consumers the chance to save on ENERGY STAR
purchases up to $2,500.

Local Best Buy BlueShirts are available for live or taped
in-store interviews and can offer:

— Energy efficiency tips and advice on shopping for
energy efficient electronics, including:
— Clothes washers
— Dehumidifiers
— Dishwashers
— Air conditioners
— Refrigerators
— Information about the latest technology
— B-roll or photography

How: Best Buy Public Relations Department is instituting a
“manager-approval” news media policy for newspaper, TV and
radio reporters for the sales tax holiday. This policy
empowers store managers to approve or decline sales tax
holiday news media stories without having to obtain approval
from the corporate Best Buy Public Relations department.
