Rediff.com introduces new player in Rediff iShare

Now offers full screen mode and adds users details with many exciting features in embed player format

Mumbai 5th October 2007: Continuing to build on its social content sharing multimedia platform Rediff iShare, Rediff.com, India’s leading online community portal, today rolled out its new video and audio player to provide users a richer and entertaining experience on Rediff iShare (http://ishare.rediff.com/). The new video player now comes with an option of watching the video’s in full screen mode with auto play option providing users a better experience of the videos with fast buffering speed.

The multimedia player has been further enhanced to offer the iShare users the recognition they rightfully deserve even when embedded on a different web-page (outside Rediff iShare). In the embed format viewers will be able to see the iShare user’s profile along with details of other content shared by the user on iShare. This option will enable viewers on other sites to engage with the iShare users and form a community based on sharing common passions.

The new player when embedded will also support a menu option to offer more interactivity to the viewers. Using these option viewers can share the video with their friends and can also choose to vote for the video. The embed player also offers the search option enabling them to browse more such content on iShare from the player itself.

Along with the enhanced interactive features of the new multimedia player, the number of post roll videos has also increased from four to ten videos offering viewers more choice to watch their favourite videos. Also, the play list option in the music player has been removed for easy listening.
