Symantec Named a Top Technology Innovator by VARBusiness Magazine

Symantec Corp. (NASDAQ: SYMC), has been recognized by VARBusiness magazine for outstanding achievement in technology innovation as its VERITAS Enterprise Vaultâ„¢ email and content archiving software earned top honors in the Enterprise Software category of the annual VARBusiness Tech Innovator awards.

Enterprise Vault software provides a secure, tamper-resistant central repository for email and other forms of electronic business records, helping companies comply with electronic records retention laws and regulations and enabling the discovery of information required for regulatory or litigation purposes. In addition, Enterprise Vault helps drive down costs through improved user productivity and efficient use of storage hardware.

Enterprise Vault was among more than 500 entries submitted in 11 technology categories. An esteemed panel of solution providers judged entries including a range of products released between July 2004 and July 2005 for technical creativity, usability, price/performance ratio, and overall innovation.
