Disruptive Technology finally gets a commentary at the Disrupted Blog
Disruptive Technology as a concept has been around for hundreds of years – a disruptive firing mechanism for cannons was one of the main reasons for Drakes defeat of the Spanish Armada.
However, the rate of technology change in recent years means that we now must take greater notice of the changes such technology will bring to our world.
For example using Kryders Law we can predict that the capacity of a video iPod by 2019 will be 85 years of video storage. That’s enough to video your whole life, in real time. Imagine the disruption that will bring to the legal business alone. But of course you won’t have to store it on your iPod – Google will provide enough storage for everything in your life by then. And your computers will be controlled by your brain.
