The International Engineering Consortium (IEC) partners with BT to address the next frontier in the information and communications technologies (ICT) field; industry professionals around the world are invited to join in the discussion with key experts this April in London
The International Engineering Consortium (IEC) today introduced SOFNET 08 to thousands of industry professionals present at the annual Broadband World Forum Europe 2007. The Broadband World Forum Europe 2007 takes place this week at the Estrel Convention Center and is hosted by Deutsche Telekom AG.
“With the help of BT and 75 other leading key experts at a recent planning meeting, we developed a new focus for what was formerly known as the 21st Century Communications World Forum,” commented IEC President John Janowiak. “Innovations and software developments and their implications enabled by new technologies and architectures will be a recurrent theme at the event.” Mr. Janowiak continued, “Therefore, to better illustrate this critical new focus, we have renamed 21st Century Communications World Forum to SOFNET 08.”
The forum’s three key components: the transformation of service providers to “soft service providers,” the software developments that are driving the change, and the network technologies enabling the transformation, will ensure delivery of cutting-edge developments and unique winning solutions to the industry.
An IEC conference and exhibition, top experts will keep the industry abreast on the latest developments and new service development strategies in the highly competitive and demanding environment of providing end-users any information, anytime, anywhere.
Host sponsored by BT and chaired by BT Group Chief Technology Officer Matt Bross, the SOFNET 08 conference and exhibition will teach industry professionals how to provide a framework that will change the way end-users communicate, receive education, stay informed, and obtain entertainment. The event takes place in London this April.
