CNWL contract delivers Trust-wide clinical solution that enables better patient care
Ascribe plc (AIM:ASP), the health IT Group, today announced that following the selection of Ascribe’s JCC Mental Health and Community Care system by Central & North West London NHS Foundation Trust last year, that the Trust has successfully completed the first phase of the implementation in Hillingdon adding to the existing users in Harrow. The Trust has an aggressive plan to roll out the Ascribe system to the other boroughs in the Trust, Kensington and Chelsea, Westminster and Brent. The system will eventually support all of the Trust’s 2,500 plus clinical staff providing them with a comprehensive patient care system.
Ascribe provides a trust wide IT solution to help deliver improved patient care. The initial value of the deal is £1.9m over 5 years and includes a fully managed service contract, with the option to extend annually after the initial period.
CNWL selected this Ascribe solution as the best fit for its clinical and information needs from a competitive tender that included the LSP (Local Service Provider) offering.
“In addition to selecting a system that monitors & tracks the care pathways and progress of our client groups, Ascribe will provide the management information that will enable us to fulfill our obligations as a Foundation Trust and improve patient safety,” said Edward Matt, Director of Operations and Information.
“Ascribe’s JCC Mental Health & Community Care (MH&CC) system is provided as a fully managed service under a Service Level Agreement (SLA) and includes ‘hot’ Disaster Recovery facilities. The solution selected by CNWL, is a robust & tested Mental Health IT solution that is both scalable and adaptable. We are delighted at the progress at CNWL which builds on the successful installation at Bolton, Salford and Trafford (BST) Mental Health Trust where the system is used by over 3,000 clinical staff with up to 500 of those concurrent. BST now have over 3.2 million clinical progress notes recorded on the system.” explained Tony Hansom, Ascribe’s Business Manager.
