Symantec Solutions Help Safeguard HP Business PC Users Worldwide
Symantec Corp. (Nasdaq: SYMC) today announced that Symantec solutions will be offered across the HP commercial PC lineup to help protect business users worldwide. Either Symantec AntiVirus or Norton Internet Security 2005 AntiSpyware Edition, along with any upgraded versions of the same programs, will ship on select HP commercial notebook, desktop, and tablet PCs distributed in North America, Europe, Asia Pacific, and Latin America.
Users will receive 60 days of complimentary protection updates for either Symantec AntiVirus or Norton Internet Security. Once the initial subscription expires, users will have the option to purchase either a 12-month or 24-month renewal. Small business customers running Symantec AntiVirus will also be able to purchase five-, 10-, and 25-user licenses.
“Threats such as worms and Trojan horses and security risks such as spyware put business PC users in jeopardy of a variety of dangers, from lost productivity to confidential information theft,” said Matthew Moynahan, vice president, consumer products and solutions, for Symantec. “Symantec security solutions guard against today’s most prevalent threats, enabling customers to maximize their technology investments and defend their systems and information from e-mail fraud, identity theft, and more.”
