Coordinate Technologies Signs Wireless LAN Roaming Agreements with Operators from Portugal, Brazil and the Philippines

Agreements Signed Will Enable Bilateral Data Service Roaming Between China and over 4,000 International Hotspots

Coordinate Technologies, the leading provider of wireless data interconnectivity services for Carriers accessing the China market, announced today that it has finalized bilateral roaming agreements with Airborne Access, PT Wi-Fi and Vex. Under the terms of these agreements, Coordinate will support international subscribers as they roam onto WiFi hotspots managed by China Netcom, and China Mobile, as well as on future hotspot networks as they become available through the Coordinate aggregated network platform. Additionally, Coordinate has been selected by China Netcom and China Mobile to support Chinese subscribers roaming to international markets.

PT Wi-Fi is part of the Portugal Telecom Group and is a member of the Wireless Broadband Alliance. PT Wi-Fi operates more than 1400 hotspots in Portugal including Airports, Conference Centres, Hotels, Restaurants, Gas stations, and Post Offices. Vex operates the largest WiFi network in Latin America with over 2,000 hotspots in Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Paraguay, Portugal and Spain. Vex operates over 1,000 hotspots in Brazil, including 46 airports, 200 hotels, numerous coffee shops, restaurants, bars, convention and shopping centres. Vex works with all the leading ISPs in Latin America including Brasil Telecom, Uol and Terra, operating as an infrastructure wholesaler. Finally, Airborne Access provides Wi-Fi roaming services throughout the Philippines across its network of 550 hotspots. Airborne Access supports roaming subscribers of Smart Telecom, the largest Operator in the Philippines, and also a Wireless Broadband Alliance member.
