Christian Music Pioneer Integrity Media Launches WorshipKitchen, the Most Comprehensive Music Service for Worship Facilities in the U.S., Reaching 150,000 Churches

SDC (Secure Digital Container) AG has been selected to provide its patented DRM system and Java PC media player technology for the launch of North America’s most comprehensive Christian media download service for worship leaders. SDC, a PacketVideo (PV) company, is a leading fully label-approved provider of technology for digital rights management (DRM).

Integrity Media is launching an innovative PC-based media download service for worship leaders with a range of new features. Dubbed WorshipKitchen, the service offers a wide range of download resources including full tracks, split tracks for playback performance, videos for instruction and performance, lead sheets, transposable sheet music, and more. There are more than 150,000 churches buying and using contemporary worship music in the United States.

The service uses SDC’s advanced DRM technology and the SDC Java PC Player with the integrated storefront presence from SDC’s Switzerland-based partner company Digital World Services AG, which is providing the storefront technology and the content delivery platform.

SDC’s new version of the Java PC player is customized to Integrity’s branding, look and feel and special requirements. It integrates a compelling storefront in the built-in browser. SDC’s PC Player provides a broad range of functionalities to download, store, burn and manage content through playlists and more. The music content is protected with SDC DRM and is offered as both pay per download and as a subscription service. It also integrates with Integrity’s Ministry Manager, a powerful tool that enables worship leaders to seamlessly plan and manage their worship services and distribute content to their worship teams. The service supports portable devices and is scheduled to include support for the Mac OS and for the purchase of physical goods alongside digital downloads.

“This is a pioneering new business model for the Christian music market,” Dave van Gorder, president of Integrity Direct, said. “We offer a full range of resources to help worship leaders organize their music, their teams, and their services. The technologies of SDC and DWS have been the foundation in making this possible, and we are proud to be bringing the benefits such a powerful platform to churches everywhere.”

“Integrity had an innovative vision to combine music, video and other products in one service to be presented in a single PC application,” said Michael Bornhäusser, CEO of SDC. “We made this vision become a reality for Integrity. This step for the SDC DRM and our PC Player application represents a major achievement in the U.S. broadband market.”
