The New York Times Launches International Weekly Edition in Rzeczpospolita of Poland

The New York Times announced today that Rzeczpospolita has begun publishing The New York Times International Weekly in Poland. Rzeczpospolita joins papers in 21 other countries and in the United States in presenting The New York Times International Weekly as a source of news and features designed to complement and enhance local coverage. The New York Times International Weekly will appear in Rzeczpospolita each Saturday.

The New York Times International Weekly retains the layout and typography of The New York Times. It offers news analysis and feature stories as well as commentary on topics that include world trends, business, technology, health, culture and style. The weekly editions are prepared in New York by a team of editors and designers from The New York Times News Service in consultation with editors from the partner newspapers.

“We are delighted to work with Rzeczpospolita to offer the wide-ranging perspective of New York Times journalism to Polish readers,” said Cristian Edwards, president, The New York Times News Services. “Rzeczpospolita has long been respected for its journalistic integrity, and we welcome this collaboration and the opportunity to share the in-depth coverage of The New York Times.”

“It is a great honor and a unique opportunity for us to cooperate with one of the most renowned newspapers in the world,” said Pawel Lisicki, editor in chief of Rzeczpospolita. “Rzeczpospolita’s expertise in Poland’s political and economic affairs coupled with The New York Times’s superb coverage of international topics will create a potent source of information for our readers.”
