Books-A-Million, Inc. (NASDAQ/NM:BAMM) announced today the Grand Opening of a 15,500 square foot store in Bristol, Virginia. The store is located in The Highlands at 16700 Highlands Center Boulevard and is the company’s 16th store in Virginia.

Books-A-Million offers Bristol residents an expansive selection of books, magazines, collectibles, gifts and much more. The store stocks over 2,000 magazines and newspapers including hundreds of hard-to-find specialty publications. Books-A-Million’s Faithpoint section features an immense selection of Bibles, Christian Living and Christian Fiction books. The store also includes a Kids-A-Million department with thousands of books, learning resources, toys and games designed to appeal to children, parents, teachers and librarians. Books-A-Million’s own Joe Muggs Café, a full line coffee and espresso bar, provides customers with a warm and inviting place to relax.

Books-A-Million offers a Millionaire’s Club where members save 40% off hardback and paperback bestsellers, 20% off of hundreds of items throughout the store, and 10% off everything, everyday.

The Grand Opening celebration for the new store will take place on Friday, October 26th through Saturday, October 27th. The public is invited to join the store on Friday for balloon and magic tricks from our strolling magician from noon until 2 pm, as well as meet Junie B. Jones at 4pm before Halloween story time from 5-6pm. On Saturday, author Denise Hildreth will sign her books from noon – 2pm, followed by Nicole Seitz autographing her new book from 2-4pm. Beginning at 6:30pm, kids will have the opportunity to take part in a special Trick or Treat event and participate in the a costume contest! Special treats will be provided by Selma’s Cookies.
