Simplex Infrastructures Ltd. net sales rise 60.3% in Q2

~ Net Profit jumps by 170.5% ~

Mumbai , October 29, 2007: Simplex Infrastructures Ltd., one of India’s largest infrastructure solutions providers, today, announced its quarterly results for the second quarter. The company registered a jump of 170.5 % in Net Profit, which increased to Rs.19.10 crore from Rs.7.06 crore in the corresponding period last year. The Net Sales registered an increase of 60.3% rising to Rs.571.13 crore from Rs.356.30 crore in the same period last year.

Sales for First Half Year rose by 62.8%

From 708.3 crores to 1152.8 crores. Profit after tax rose by 112.3% from 18.15 crores to 38.53 crores.

Commenting on the robust financial performance, Mr. BD Mundhra, Chairman and Managing Director, Simplex Infrastructures Ltd. said, “We have begun the second quarter on a positive note. The improved profitability is attributed to the large number of projects undertaken domestically and internationally over the last quarter covering all construction verticals such as urban infrastructures, piling and marine structures. The buoyancy in the quarter results reflects our strong order book position, which stands at Rs. 7000 crore.”

“Since its inception Simplex has been progressive and has maintained its growth track of around 30% consistently. Keeping in mind the huge infrastructural opportunities emerging within the country and internationally in diverse infrastructure verticals, we are bullish about the forthcoming quarters.
