Anagran, Inc., developer and world leader of intelligent flow-based products for next generation networks, today announced that Kim Niederman has been appointed president and Chief Executive Officer.
“With the launch of our first product this August, and growing demand for our products worldwide, we are now in a position to focus on scaling the business,” said Anagran founder Dr. Lawrence Roberts, who will remain the company’s Chairman. “Kim is a proven leader with a successful track record of delivering revenue, and he has demonstrated a strong commitment to serving the complex demands of telecommunication service provider and Enterprise customers. As CEO, he’ll be responsible for scaling our business, which will allow me to focus on continuing to advance the state of our flow-based technology and products.”
Prior to joining Anagran, Niederman was the senior vice president of worldwide sales at Polycom, Inc. He is credited with nearly doubling Polycom’s revenues in three years, and implementing a new worldwide sales and channel strategy. Niederman founded and served as president and chief executive of LongBoard, Inc., a telecommunications software startup that raised $50 million in venture funding. He held the same two positions at Magellan Network Systems prior to LongBoard. He has also held senior executive positions with companies ranging from startups to large, established technology corporations spanning the networking and computer industries, including Cisco Systems, Wang Laboratories, FORE Systems, and RadioLAN, Inc.
“It is a great honor to be working with Dr. Roberts, one of the founding fathers of the Internet,” said Niederman. “And I am very enthusiastic about the opportunity that lies ahead for Anagran. With network traffic growing and congestion worsening, Anagran’s intelligent flow technology represents a timely paradigm shift that changes the economics of networking. I look forward to helping enterprises and telecommunications companies successfully manage network growth and address the issue of congestion, so that they can deliver best in class service to their stakeholders.”
Niederman earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Denver.
