“There has been a criminal manipulation of our processes. In the past couple of years, we had put down several process in place including ‘no first pick up or last drop’ of female employees, compulsory rosters for every cab, ongoing education of all employees on personal safety and precautions to be followed during late night travel, etc.
Unfortunately, even the most secure of processes do get manipulated and we are deeply disturbed by what has happened. We have initiated an immediate effort to audit and further tighten all our processes, especially concerning the safety of our employees and this will be personally reviewed by me going forward.”
