DIRECTV Launches New Digital/HD Programming in Juneau, Alaska
WHAT: DIRECTV has added new channels to its local programming lineup in Juneau, Alaska, that includes the digital/HD feed from KUAC (PBS)/Channel 9. DIRECTV is also now delivering standard definition digital feeds from KATH (NBC)/Channel 5, KTOODT2 (PBS)/Channel 3-2 and KUACDT2 (PBS)/Channel 9-2.
DIRECTV has offered local channels, including KTOO, KTBY, KATH, KYES, KJUD, KTNL and WB, in the Juneau market since late 2005.

HOW:
To receive local and broadcast network programming in Juneau, DIRECTV customers will need a 1.2-meter Ka/Ku-band satellite dish and an H20, H21, HR20 or HR21 MPEG-4 compatible receiver and the CHOICE(R) programming package at $49.99 per month, which includes more than 140 movie, sports, family, music and local broadcast network channels.
