PinPoint Global announces new online review tool for E-Disclosure customers through iCONECT

…Lawyers can now gain online access to evidence anytime, anywhere, anyplace…

Wednesday 7th November 2007, PinPoint Global, a leading E-Disclosure specialist has become an authorised iCONECT Development LLC Application Servicer Provider (ASP). This development provides all PinPoint customers with web based native review and full litigation case management capabilities within a secure on-line environment.

PinPoint’s online review tool, powered by iCONECTnXT enables lawyers to review, classify and annotate documents in multiple languages collaborating from a variety of locations. This increases the speed and effectiveness of international disputes and investigations, saving time and money for clients.

Cynthia Williams, CEO of iCONECT Development, LLC comments, “We are delighted that PinPoint met and exceeded the strict requirements to become an iCONECT service provider. We have an extensive range of high level security and administrative standards and only companies with a proven capacity to deliver excellent support services are considered. PinPoint delivers unique legal and technology expertise and we are extremely excited to be working with them.”

This announcement brings five key benefits to lawyers:
1. Effective collaboration and streamlined review – legal teams can work simultaneously, review, edit, search and navigate through documents in their native file format
2. Easy access to information – the web interface is simple to use, intuitive, and requires minimal training. The user simply needs Internet Explorer on a Windows operating system, and a single login. After login, only designated cases and documents are viewable. Information can be further regulated by “read” and “write” restrictions.
3. Flexibility and control – the review tool is so flexible that you can give outside counsel read-only access, and still allow the legal teams to collaborate as needed while maintaining complete data integrity
4. Scalability – powered by Oracle® database technology, the system easily manages millions of documents and tens of millions of pages
5. Security – nine levels of security protect the integrity of data and images and ensure that confidential information stays that way

Greg Wildisen, Managing Director of PinPoint says, “Technology has changed the way that Lawyers manage investigations, arbitration and litigation for their clients. Lawyers want to capitalise on our E-Disclosure support services through an ability to share information amongst several colleagues and collaborate with a variety of experts across a number of geographic locations. Our partnership with iCONECT allows us to offer our clients best of breed solutions – and access vital information anytime, anywhere.”

Cynthia Williams adds, “As E-Disclosure becomes more prominent in litigation and corporate investigations, document databases will continue to increase in size. Law firms need a product that enables their teams to review and manage terabytes of data, not just gigabytes.”

A gigabyte is equivalent in volume to between 70,000 and 80,000 pages of material. At 2,000 pages per box, one gigabyte is therefore equivalent to 35 to 40 boxes of documents. It is estimated that it costs $1 to store a gigabyte of data and $30,000 to review it through traditional or non E-Disclosure techniques.[1]

PinPoint’s expertise ensures that electronic data is processed quickly and made available for on-line review in a timely manner. For a free demonstration visit www.pinpoint-global.co.uk

NOTES TO EDITOR

What is E-Disclosure?
E-Disclosure (also known as e-Discovery and ESI Processing) is the process of finding, securing and providing electronic data with the intent of being used as evidence. Although the name stems from the litigation process, the term is now more widely applied to the treatment of electronic documents generally for litigation, arbitration and internal and regulatory investigations. Simply put – it’s the process of turning data into evidence.
