ClearSpeed Technology Featured in HP High Performance Computing Accelerator Program

ClearSpeed’s energy-efficient, 64-bit performance acceleration qualified for HP ProLiant and BladeSystem platforms

ClearSpeed Technology (LSE:CSD), the world leader in acceleration for high performance computing (HPC), today announced that its Advance™ accelerator cards have been adopted as a key feature of HP’s HPC Accelerator Program.

Designed as coprocessors and boards to work alongside Intel and AMD processors, ClearSpeed’s Advance product family accelerates the most compute-intensive applications commonly used in high performance computing. Consuming an average of only 33 watts, the Advance cards add performance and efficiency of more than 80 GFLOPS peak double precision per card.

The Advance e620 accelerator card has been qualified for the HP ProLiant DL140 G3 servers, ProLiant DL380 G5 servers, and is distinguished as the first and only accelerator to be qualified for the ProLiant BL460c and the BL465c server blades.

At the SC07 supercomputing conference in Reno, Nov. 12 – 16, ClearSpeed and HP are demonstrating ClearSpeed accelerated applications running in HP BladeSystem c-Class and ProLiant servers. ClearSpeed is also demonstrating massively-accelerated applications distributed across an HP ProLiant DL360 cluster capable of using hundreds of ClearSpeed accelerators. Additionally, in HP’s booth, ClearSpeed will show accelerated life science and financial applications, Amber and Monte Carlo respectively, in a Blade sidecar and ProLiant DL140.
