PELEMAN WINS 2007 STEVIE AWARD FOR “EMPLOYER OF THE YEAR”

Alpharetta, GA, November 15, 2007 — Peleman Industries www.peleman.com, Alpharetta, Georgia-based manufacturer of the award-winning Unibind PhotoBook Creator high-quality binding, lamination and presentation product line, announced today that it has won the 2007 Stevie® Award for Women in Business for “Employer of the Year,” presented during a gala event held on Mon., November 12th in Las Vegas.

The 4th Annual 2007 Stevie Award for Women in Business is an international competition recognizing the accomplishments of outstanding women executives, business owners, and the companies they run. More than 800 entries from companies of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted for consideration. Presented by Infiniti, the awards are produced by the creators of the prestigious American Business Award, “The business world’s own Oscars,” – New York Post, April 27, 2005.

Peleman Industries won the Stevie Award over finalists, including VerticalResponse of San Francisco, CA; FIS SoftPro of Raleigh, NC; and BrightStar Franchising of Gurnee, IL. Brigitte Peleman-Vantieghem, CEO of Peleman Industries, accepted the “Employer of the Year Award” by thanking her husband, Bart Vantieghem, and two sons; Henry, 3, and Nicholas, 1, for their support over the years. “We try to create a family atmosphere with this company,” Peleman-Vantieghem said. “It’s really the people who have made the company what it is. The atmosphere has been created by them.”

In addition to the “Employer of the Year” Award, Peleman Industries was also named finalist in the categories of “Best Overall Company” and Peleman-Vantieghem was named finalist for “Best Entrepreneur.” Since founding the United States operations for Peleman Industries Worldwide in 1998, Peleman-Vantieghem has grown the company from two people to an office of over 80 employees. Peleman Industries also employs a large number of disabled people who help produce its products. “We have a variety of hiring practices,” she said. “We believe in giving disadvantaged people a chance, and we always try to promote from inside.”

The Stevie Awards for Women in Business are governed by a Board of Distinguished Judges & Advisors that features many leading women entrepreneurs and luminaries in business. Finalists are chosen by business professionals worldwide during the preliminary judging period.
