Kabira Technologies Inc., a leader in high-performance transaction processing software for global enterprises and Bull, IT supplier and innovative Telco integrator, will jointly present their latest solutions for mobile operators who require real-time provisioning, mediation of GSM voice and data services, as well as mobile payments solutions at 3G AfricaCom. The 3G AfricaCom conference and exhibition will be held on November 21st and 22nd in Cape Town, South Africa.

The companies will show their key telecommunications offerings, including Bull NovaScale® servers, Kabira provisioning, mediation, convergent charging and mobile payment solutions, coupled with Bull integration, sales and support services. These offerings deliver:
Innovation for mobile operators with real-time provisioning and mediation
Intensive computing with robustness and standard technologies
Support of dedicated Telecoms expert centers worldwide

This joint exhibition follows Kabira and Bull’s announcement in September 2007 of the signing of an expanded strategic alliance agreement to provide Kabira applications on Bull NovaScale servers, running Linux 64-bit operating systems. This strategic alliance both significantly increases the availability of Kabira’s market-leading transaction processing solutions and leverages Bull’s world-class sales, service and support teams throughout Europe, Latin America, the Middle East and Africa.

Kabira’s real-time transaction platform and provisioning, mediation and mobile payment solutions are currently utilized by global operators worldwide. Kabira technology is widely deployed in the Pan African market since it is ideally suited to the unique needs of African mobile operators who are managing booming demand for new and advanced offerings, such as services for un-banked populations or value added services for prepaid subscribers. Kabira already provides solutions to African mobile operators based in Ivory Coast, Botswana, Mali, the Republic of Cameroon, Madagascar, Senegal, Egypt and Morocco.

Bull has developed a real expertise in helping operators in emerging markets to offer new services and control costs, while preserving their existing environment. For example, Bull has provided innovative solutions to accommodate today’s operators’ requirements like Triple and Quadruple Play services offerings involving Internet, fixed – mobile telephony, messaging voice and data, IPTV etc. In addition, Bull has developed the necessary IT components and/or ensured the integration of new offerings in the existing information systems of the operator, i.e. billing, mediation, provisioning and customer relationship management, portals and self-care.

“We believe our products will enable Africa’s operators to address the complex competitive and market challenges now present throughout the region,” said Philippe Lavigne, EMEA Alliance and Business Development Director for Kabira Technologies. “Kabira provides a highly reliable, scalable real-time platform designed to enable operators to quickly roll out new services, such as convergent charging and mobile payment offerings. We feel that, Kabira and Bull deliver the advanced software, hardware, and support services needed by African operators that is unmatched by any other providers.”

“Every time we implement Kabira solutions we find that their capabilities meet the requirements of today’s Telecom market such as cost reduction for integrated operators, rapid integration of new services and shortened time to revenue,” said Christian Giusti, Director of Business Operations for Bull’s Telecommunications and Media Business Unit. ”The on-going expansion of our partnership is supported by Bull’s strong business dynamics towards emerging markets, as well as by Bull’s worldwide sales presence.”

Kabira and Bull will be exhibiting at stand A13C.
