Kabillion, the new multi-platform kids’ entertainment program service, has launched a new kids and pet-friendly microsite in conjunction with Crazy Pet, LLC., the US-based interactive entertainment and educational licensing company which promotes the values children learn from caring for their family pets. In addition to participating on Kabillion’s Video On-Demand (VOD) and online broadband (Kabillion.com) channels, Crazy Pets will also provide interstitial programming featuring live-action joke videos, animated shorts and tips for proper (and fun) pet care and training. The new microsite is available at http://www.kabillion.com/crazypets.
The strategic partnership between Kabillion and Crazy Pets goes beyond traditional synergies and taps into a significant market, as the US pet industry generated an estimated 38 billion dollars in 2006. Kabillion’s sticky multi-platform approach, in an uncluttered interactive environment, allows Crazy Pets to engage their target audience in a way that traditional linear TV media campaigns no longer can do. It breaks through today’s cluttered advertising landscape and the 30-second spots that cannot create the type of desired messaging and resonance with consumers as in the past. It is a clear indication of the direction of advertising methods to reach young audiences in DVR-penetrated households.
Kabillion’s new microsite features the popular Crazy Pets characters in a variety of activities, games and videos. Interactive areas of the microsite also include a caption contest, Crazy Pet of the Week photo contest and Joke of the Week, as well as IM icons and wallpapers. Everything is built around the Crazy Pet theme of “Characters Building Character,” found in all their activity role play products and services.
“Every kid either has a pet or wants one, and Crazy Pet has done a remarkable job of engaging and teaching kids about the fun — and the responsibility – of caring for animals,” explains Bill Schultz, CEO of Kabillion. “Together with the Crazy Pets team, we’ve created this new microsite as a destination for kids, not only to have fun sharing stories and photos of their pets, but also learn more about how to take care of them.”
“Kabillion is an ideal venue for us to continue our mission of teaching kids valuable life lessons through caring for their family pet,” says Tony deVos, founder and CEO of Crazy Pet, LLC. “From the games and videos to the contests and other interactive elements, we think this will be a great place for kids to congregate online and share their excitement.”
