Fewer Dropped Calls and the Most Reliable Connections
Cricket Communications, Inc., a leading provider of unlimited wireless services, announced today that an independent research study ranked Cricket’s wireless network #1 throughout Cricket’s Middle Tennessee coverage area, with fewer dropped calls and more reliable connections than any other wireless company serving this market. Cricket’s Middle Tennessee coverage area includes Nashville and extends north to Hopkinsville, KY, east to Lebanon, south to Murfreesboro and Columbia and west to Dickson.
Independent researchers drove approximately 2,300 miles throughout Middle Tennessee in September to test Cricket’s network against all competitors in this market. Network coverage was tested for three measurements of quality: accessibility (how easy it was to complete a call), retainability (how many calls were not dropped) and call quality (the strength of the signal). Cricket was superior overall against other wireless networks: T-Mobile, Verizon, AT&T and Sprint.
“This is an outstanding achievement. It’s proof that wireless consumers don’t have to sacrifice quality for price. Cricket offers unlimited access to the best wireless network in the market for one low, fixed price,” said Greg Post, Cricket eastern regional vice president. “It’s also proof that Cricket continues to be the most innovative and forward-thinking wireless company in the industry. After all, what’s more innovative than combining high quality with low cost?
“These benchmark studies allow our network team to continuously improve the quality of service for our customers, developing technical improvements that put Cricket ahead of the biggest and most expensive wireless service companies,” said Jane Hutson, Cricket area general manager. “Our commitment to continuous improvement is certainly obvious in the rising quality of our network. When this same network quality study was conducted two years ago, Cricket’s Middle Tennessee network ranked third overall. The fact that we have jumped from third to first in just two years shows just how serious we are about providing the best network at the best price.”
“Combine this kind of high-quality network with Cricket’s new nationwide service initiative, and you can see that this company is set for phenomenal growth,” Post added. “We’re no longer just a local wireless company. Today, for no additional charge, Cricket customers can talk and text all they want from any Cricket market in the nation.”
