Canon Demonstrates the Versatility and Usability of its DR Imaging Solutions at the Radiological Society of North America Annual Meeting
RSNA 2007
Canon U.S.A., Inc., will showcase the versatility and usability of its current line of advanced portable and general digital radiography (DR) systems and solutions at the 2007 Radiological Society of North America Annual Meeting (RSNA 2007), taking place at McCormick Place in the South Building – Hall A in booth # 3311 (November 25 – 29).
“Attendees at our booth will witness Canon DR systems integrated with select third-party fixed radiographic equipment and upgraded onto compatible third-party mobile x-ray units for use at a patient’s bedside,” said Tsuneo Imai, director and general manager, Medical Systems Division, Canon U.S.A. “Our products provide a variety of configuration options to help fit the requirements of a facility or practice, which can help increase productivity and can contribute to significant cost savings.”
On display will be the award-winning Canon CXDI-50G Portable DR system, which offers a thin, light-weight design and has a large imaging area (14 X 17 inches). When combined with a mobile unit, the CXDI-50G can bring digital radiography directly to the patient’s bedside. Designed for diverse applications, the compact design is a practical solution for a wide range of room applications that can be difficult to perform with fixed devices. The CXDI-50G will be shown integrated with multiple portable x-ray units including the upgraded AMX-4+, RadPro 40kW Mobile Digital X-Ray System and the RadPro 4kW Portable Digital X-Ray System, making it appropriate for bedside or post-operative procedures. Also on display will be a Field Deployable Digital Radiography System (FDDRS) integrated with the Canon CXDI-50G Portable DR System, suitable for examinations required in military or field operations.
The RadPro 40kW Digital Mobile X-Ray System, integrated with a Canon CXDI-50G Portable Sensor, is ideal for ER, OR and ICU environments. A high-frequency generator enables clear and detailed images for highly accurate radiography. A large, easy-to-read, user-friendly 12-inch touch-screen offers more than 500 anatomical programs while a slimmer profile allows for precise positioning and improved portability. A retractable USB cord provides quick and easy connection for virtually immediate image transfers to many DICOM* output devices and to multiple network configurations such as PACS or RIS.
Also on display will be the Canon CXDI-50C Portable DR system, which features a 14 X 17 inch image area with the LANMIT 7 (Large Area New-MIS Sensor and TFT) detector technology, and delivers high-quality diagnostic images efficiently with minimal X-ray exposure to patients, making it ideal for pediatric and orthopedic use; and the Canon CXDI-40EC General DR system, which is equipped with a large 17 X 17 inch imaging area for capturing X-ray images, large and small, without the need to adjust detector orientation.
The Canon CXDI-40EG General DR System provides a large imaging area of 17 X 17 inches, and lets users capture desired anatomical views for both large and small format X-rays in portrait or landscape orientation without having to rotate the detector unit. The technologist selects the necessary views to complete the requested examination and an on-screen preview image is available virtually immediately. This system can be retrofitted onto almost any new or existing bucky table, upright tilting wall stand, universal or ceiling suspended multi-positioning unit.
In addition to its medical products and solutions, Canon will have other Canon-branded products, including the PIXMA Pro9000 photo printer, the imagePROGRAF iPF500 large format printer, and the REALiS SX7 projector, on display in its booth at RSNA. The PIXMA Pro9000 printer is an eight-color ink printer that produces a wide color gamut to achieve vivid coloration and high glossiness, and prints up to 13 X 19 inches on plain paper and specialty media. The Canon imagePROGRAF iPF500 17-inch printer features the Company’s five-color dye-pigment reactive ink system, and the Canon L-COA image processor and FINE print head technology for exceptional image quality and fast output. The iPF500 can be used by medical facilities that print long images such as long leg or other stitched images. The Canon flagship REALiS SX7 projector with the brilliance and sharpness of LCOS technology, 4,000 ANSI lumens brightness and 1.7X Ultra-Wide Powered Zoom Lens with Autofocus, delivers exceptional image quality and color reproduction.
