Seagate Expands Regional Channel Presence with Launch of its Seagate Partner Program (SPP) in Four Key Markets

NEW DELHI, India — December 8, 2005 — Seagate Technology (NYSE:STX), the world’s leading supplier of hard disc drives, today launched its Seagate Partner Program in Singapore, Australia, China, and India. Seagate has strengthened and enhanced the Seagate Partner Program to better support resellers’ unique business requirements.

The program includes these innovations and benefits:
• A new password-protected, interactive web portal for easy access to new value-added product and marketing information, training sessions and customer support: http://spp.seagate.com
• Dedicated toll-free hotline for pre- and post-sales support for faster access to product, technology and marketing information backed by Seagate five-year warranty
• Early access to Seagate’s latest hard disc drive products through a special first-to-market evaluation program
• Incentives designed to increase profitability for Seagate channel partners
• An online Returns Management System that allows for faster, more efficient and more convenient management of warranty returns
• Marketing materials created by Seagate for cost-effective marketing tool development
• Access to a comprehensive suite of desktop, notebook, enterprise and retail products spanning 97 percent of the hard drive market
• The quarterly “Cool Bytes” eNewsletter and Storage Solutions Catalogue which provide the latest news on products, technology and the storage market

Seagate is supporting the launch of the new Seagate Partner Program with an advertising and promotional campaign across Asia Pacific.

In Singapore, the new Seagate Partner Program will be launched on 2 December 2005. In Australia, the program will kick off in Sydney and Melbourne on 14 and 15 December 2005 respectively.

In India, the SPP launch will include an SPP roadshow covering 9 cities, which include Delhi, Pune, Mumbai, Ahemdabad, Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Ludhiana. Seagate offers its customers in India the best-in-class customer support infrastructure through its 43-city SeaCare program. SeaCare centers are manned by Seagate trained staff and offer support across the country to provide an overall enhanced customer experience. It has also initiated an SMS Customer Care and launched two mobile service vans, which provide customer support services at the main technology markets in New Delhi and Mumbai. Seagate is also the first and only hard drive company to provide a National Toll- Free Call Center which functions like a window to Seagate for any business or technical query on the company’s products and services.
