TouchTunes Music Corporation, the largest on-location interactive entertainment network, announced today that it has filed a lawsuit in New York Federal Court asserting that Rowe International, its subsidiary, AMI entertainment, and Merit Entertainment have infringed certain of TouchTunes’ patents. The suit responds to ongoing allegations by Rowe that TouchTunes was infringing patents owned by Rowe and Arachnid. TouchTunes is also seeking a ruling by the Court confirming that TouchTunes has not infringed any valid patent held by Rowe or Arachnid. TouchTunes has taken this action in order to protect its innovative and patented technology and to resolve Rowe’s previous unsupported infringement allegations. TouchTunes is seeking unspecified damages and an injunction against future infringement.

“Through this lawsuit, TouchTunes is vigorously working to defend and enforce its intellectual property,” said Art Martin, CEO of TouchTunes. “We have a long track record of providing some of the most innovative interactive entertainment products on the market, and we will continue to deliver on and exceed our customers’ expectations in 2008 and beyond.”
