Global Sales Appointments At Gooch & Housego

January 21, 2008 – Gooch & Housego has announced the appointments of key sales personnel on the West Coast of North America and the Asia Pacific region, as the company looks to continue the expansion of its global presence. The new sales team will be present at Photonics West 2008.

Scott Soden, formerly president of optical component manufacturing sales firm, Quantum Marketing, will join Gooch & Housego as Western Regional Account Manager, based in Campbell, CA. Martin Cheng, formerly director of sales/marketing at BinOtpics/CyOptics, and Regional Product Marketing Manager in Agere System Optoelectronics division (formerly Lucent Microelectronics), will join as Director of Sales for Asia Pacific, and be based in Hong Kong. These appointments follow the appointment of ex-Bookham sales director, Paul Morris, as Global Senior VP Sales.

Gooch & Housego is an integration of five players in the photonics space: Gooch & Housego UK, Cleveland Crystals, NEOS Technologies, Landwehr Electronic and SIFAM Fibre Optics. The company will make its world debut at Photonics West 2008, booth #1013, taking place at the San Jose Convention Center.
