HP Teams with Symas to Deliver Open Source Directory Across HP Server Platforms
HP today announced that it has signed an agreement with Symas Corporation to expand its certification and services for an open source directory across all HP industry-standard platforms. Symas Corporation is one of the most prolific contributors to the open source project, OpenLDAP. Coupled with HP’s enterprise-level support and services, the OpenLDAP- based directory is one of the most secure and flexible identity management platforms on the market.
Symas’ OpenLDAP distribution, Connexitor Directory Services, is essentially OpenLDAP in a box, offering customers faster deployment, easier paths to upgrades and rapid bug fixes.
To further complement the agreement, HP OpenView Identity Management products will support Symas OpenLDAP. This level of support assures customers of a comprehensive identity and access management solution across all HP industry-standard platforms. OpenLDAP is based on the Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP).
