AMD Announces Relationship With China’s Third-Largest PC Maker, Tsinghua Tongfang

AMD announced that Tsinghua Tongfang, China’s third largest computer manufacturer and the second largest home PC brand in China, will offer a series of computer systems powered by AMD processors. Tsinghua Tongfang has launched nine new commercial and consumer PC models based on AMD Athlon™ 64 X2, AMD Athlon™ 64 and AMD Sempron™ processors to meet a range of customer computing needs.

“The announcement with Tsinghua Tongfang is another example of how AMD continues to gain industry momentum based on our philosophy to deliver outstanding products focused on meeting the needs of both consumer and commercial customers,” said Henri Richard, AMD executive vice president and chief sales & marketing officer. “Offering AMD64 technology -powered solutions is a demonstration of Tsinghua Tongfang’s vision and decisiveness in seeking growth based on innovative products that can generate value for Chinese customers.”
