ALMOST 1 MILLION SECURITY SYSTEM CUSTOMERS AFFECTED
LaserShield Instant Wireless Security System Solves Problem
Las Cruces, NM, February 6, 2008—LaserShield Systems, Inc. www.lasershield.net announced today that the LaserShield® Instant Security System will solve the AMPS cellular analog network service discontinuation that will affect almost 1 million wireless security system customers. Unknown by many customers, their analog cellular service will be shut down on February 18, 2008, causing major carriers, such as AT&T, Verizon, and others, to quietly discontinue their analog service. After February 18th, if a burglar breaks into a customer’s home with an analog wireless security system, the security system will not work.
LaserShield Cyclone & Sparrow Adapters Solve Serious Problem
LaserShield solves this serious and potentially deadly security breach problem with its Cyclone Cellular Adapter and Sparrow Internet Adapter. Cyclone uses the digital cellular GSM Network and Sparrow uses high-speed Internet. LaserShield is the first affordable plug-and-go security system featuring professional 24/7 emergency response and a 105-decibel alarm. LaserShield transmits security breach and home break-in information through cellular or the Internet to the professional monitoring station.
With the Sparrow Internet Adapter, the monitoring service sends a signal continuously at regular intervals throughout the day to make sure it’s always operational. If the adapter does not respond back due to loss of power or Internet connection, the monitoring service immediately notifies the owner. With traditional home security systems, if a consumer’s phone lines were cut by a burglar or went down, the user would never know.
“The AMPS shutdown situation will put many alarm users at risk as their system will be unable to transmit a signal,” said Anthony Dohrmann, CEO, LaserShield Systems. “Our Cyclone and Sparrow devices will allow these users to be confident knowing that their system can transmit alarm signals successfully.”
LaserShield Security System Easy Set-up
The LaserShield master alarm unit is up and running in seconds after plugging it into the telephone jack and standard wall outlet for use with regular phones. If you want to use LaserShield without a standard phone line, the Cyclone cellular adapter plugs into the rear of the master LaserShield Unit to communicate nationwide using the GSM digital cellular network. For digital phones, the Sparrow Internet Adapter is plugged into your router via the included Ethernet cable.
LaserShield’s motion detectors are placed in areas that an intruder would need to pass in order to enter the property. Each LaserShield wireless motion detector protects a room up to 35 x 35 feet (1,200 sq. feet) via invisible infrared technology. When a security breach is detected, LaserShield contacts the monitoring service, which notifies friends, family and, if needed, the authorities. LaserShield also includes a panic button, allowing a consumer to send a distress alert when needed. In cases of power outage, the Lasershield master alarm unit features 24 hours of backup battery power.
The LaserShield $199.95 security system includes a master alarm unit, a wireless motion detector and two keychain remotes. For cellular service, customers may purchase the Cyclone adapter for $229.99. The Sparrow high speed Internet adapter is also available for $129.99. Customers can activate Rapid Response Monitoring Service on the day of purchase for $19.95/month for dial-up and $29.95/month for cellphone or digital phone service with no long-term contracts or commitments.
