JBOSS WORLD

SeeWhy Software, the creator of the first event intelligence platform, today announced an expansion of its relationship with JBoss, a division of Red Hat, Inc., through tighter integration of SeeWhy with the JBoss service-oriented architecture (SOA) platform. In addition, SeeWhy has become a JBoss Advanced Partner.

Following demand from the JBoss community, SeeWhy has been working with JBoss to build tight integration between the companies’ products, specifically to provide real-time visibility and exception detection at runtime for JBoss jBPM processes. SeeWhy customers have achieved up to a 900% increase in performance by embedding event intelligence into processes. In short, the processes become much more intelligent by “self tuning” each process instance to optimize performance.

SeeWhy’s event-driven business intelligence (BI) platform enables customers in industries such as financial services, telecommunications and retail to optimize the performance of customer-facing business processes like event-based marketing, demand sensing, fraud detection and online customer experience. These capabilities help companies to increase revenues, reduce costs and reduce risks.

SeeWhy designed its platform based on service-oriented architecture and leveraging standards-based JBoss middleware solutions such as the JBoss Application Server, JBoss jBPM and JBoss ESB.

“In 2007, SeeWhy integrated its platform with our business process management and ESB solutions, allowing customers to tap into data streaming through the ESB and then initiate business processes based on an analysis of those events,” said Pierre Fricke director of product line management, SOA products at Red Hat. “The result for customers is powerful event intelligence that’s designed for use in an SOA. Now, through tight integration and our expanded relationship with SeeWhy, Red Hat’s JBoss customers will be able to benefit from faster deployment and JBoss-specific business activity monitoring. JBoss Enterprise SOA Platform and JBoss jBPM customers in particular will be able to benefit from real-time visibility of processes executing.”

Charles Nicholls, founder and CEO of SeeWhy Software, said: “We’ve enjoyed a long-running relationship with the JBoss division of Red Hat because our companies share a focus on developing solutions that are geared toward taking advantage of the natural integration provided by SOA environments and, at the same time, helping customers derive the full benefits of SOA. We’re pleased to up our relationship at this time to become a JBoss Advanced Partner.”
